This essay examines the rapid aging of Puerto Rico’s population and argues that community-based therapeutic art practices can effectively address social isolation, emotional distress, and loss of belonging among older adults by fostering connection, expression, and well-being.

CuidArte: A Collab initiative
with Ciudad Museo

At Ciudad Museo, I mainly work conducting cultural  research and developing artistic strategies that empower community members to explore personal identity and collective resilience. My latest collaboration with this artist collective is called a program called  CuidArte, a community art therapy initiative exploring the power of communal healing through therapeutic art and social activism.  We also work creating  large-scale project transforming city spaces into canvases of shared history through collaborative public art.
