Social practice artist / community-based art therapy

Socially engaged artist creating community-based art experiences that foster healing, identity, and connection in Puerto Rico.

A Holistic Approach to Social Practice

I am a socially engaged artist working at the intersection of art therapy, community practice, and cultural work, creating spaces that foster social cohesion, empathy, and collective well-being.

Through my projects, I design and facilitate community-based art experiences that encourage creative collaboration, support emotional healing, and strengthen a shared sense of Puerto Rican identity, belonging, and cultural pride.

At Ciudad Museo, I mainly work conducting cultural  research and developing artistic strategies that empower community members to explore personal identity and collective resilience. My latest collaboration with this artist collective is called a program called  CuidArte, a community art therapy initiative exploring the power of communal healing through therapeutic art and social activism.  We also work creating  large-scale project transforming city spaces into canvases of shared history through collaborative public art.
